Research areas:  I’m interested in the question of identity formation in the Americas, a broad topic that has led me to specific projects in digital media, contemporary music, travel literature, and life narratives. I am in the process of finishing a book about the contemporary notion of authenticity within the context of globalization.

Teaching areas: Contemporary Latin American narrative, Introduction to Latin American Studies, travel writing, popular music, literary non-fiction in theory and practice.
